The aerospace industry has strict standards for the round body, open end, rivet-nut. These standards are set by the National Aerospace Standard NAS1329 (flat head). Rivet-nuts have a round body, blind fastener, internally threaded with a head that has an internal hexagonal or square shape. The rivet-nut can be installed by applying pressure to the head and inserting it into the material. It acts as a rivet to fasten two or more materials together.

NAS1329 rivet-nut is offered in a countersunk head/flat head version that installs flush with the surface of the pairing materials. We offer a wide range of rivet nuts in aluminum, steel, stainless steel, non-magnetic stainless steel, CH-alloy steel and brass. They come in unified thread sizes of 4-40; 6-32; 8-32; 10-32; 10-24; 1/4 -20; 1/4 -28; 5/16 -18; 5/16 -24; 3/8 -16; 3/8 -24; 1/2 -13 and 1/2 -20.

NAS1329 installs in a wide spectrum of grip range tolerances from 0.010 to 0.526 inches and from 0.25 to 10.50 millimeters.
